Please note that there is no universally accepted formula to compute the auspicious Muhuratham for rituals like marriage. There is difference of opinion among jyothisha scholors on some of the elements while selecting auspicious dates for marriage or any other important ritual.
Please note that we lists all available marriage muhurathaams in year 2018 by doing Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana Shuddhi for all days in the year after considering auspicious Solar and Lunar months.
It is to be noted that marriage rituals should not be performed while Shukra and Guru Tara are Asta according to Jyothisha scriptures like Muhurta Chintamani and Dharmasindhu. Hence Panchang Shuddhi for auspicious marriage dates is done after removing days when Shukra and Guru Tara are set or combusted. All days during Leaped Lunar month are also removed during Panchangam Shuddhi.
We only list those Muhuratams which are at least 4 hours in duration. Muhuratams which prevail for less than 4 hours are not included.
All auspicious marriage dates and marriage timings are location based and it is important to consider the city first before noting down Subha Muhurtahms for Marriage and other rituals. Here we have given data for Chennai, Tamilnadu. If you are looking for dates for other cities, then the timings have to adjusted based on the difference in Sun-rise time between Chennai and the city of your consideration.
The data given here is only for information purposes only and for the actual fixing of the Muhurthams you should consult a professional astrologer who is learned in fixing muhurthams based on the horoscopes of the couple to be married. While there are some general rules, there are many specific factors to be considered for fixing a suitable muhurtham which only a Jyothisha Shastra scholor can help.
